A UN report has accused Uganda of hosting the political office of the M23 rebel group, active in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in Kampala.

Over the past six months, M23 has taken control of the mineral rich North and South Kivu provinces in eastern DRC.

Okello Oryem is the Ugandan state minister for foreign affairs, and joined Al Jazeera on the phone from Kampala.
