Clip number 18 consists of a slide show covering the steps I went through to make the crank handle. Cutting the crank from a piece of hardwood, selecting the hardware for solid assembly and cutting the thread on the end of the crank shaft. The crank is 6mm with a .1 thread. My engineer neighbour told me that the best lubricant when using taps and dies is Lard - I followed his advice and it worked well. There is no commentary here 'a picture for a thousand words'. Part nineteen will cover testing with pressure guage, pipe assembly and tuning. Part twenty a short summary of the year project, introduction to the next project and a short concert!
