Roman Colosseum model made by Otreum (myself) inside of Maya, and imported the CryEngine 2.0 using Seith's MayaCGF tools.
This model took over 3 months to make, most of that time was due to research, fixing up errors in design and other lengthy tasks.
This is obviously the untextured version of the model, which will now not be textured due to the model being reworked later on. It would be a time wasting task to work on textures at the moment only to be remaking the model later. I will be dedicating more time on other aspects of my unannounced development project instead of working on textures.
This specific model will not be released as it is not finished. However when I do create a finished model that is textured and properly detailed and designed (as the design of this is incorrect), I will release the model as a multiplayer map for Crysis 1 and 2, I hope to also release it as a multiplayer map for Mount and Blade: Warband later on.
This video is not designed to be professional in any way. It was merely a quick throw together to show people the Colosseum model in game in real-time.
Credits go to: Crytek - For developing Crysis and the amazing CryEngine 2.0 (and now 3.0 which I hope to obtain an independent license for my project). Seith - For creating MayaCGF. Without these tools, I would need to make the switch from Maya to 3ds Max, which would be very time consuming. Thankyou Seith :) The Community - For just being simply awesome, helping fellow modders, giving feedback to other modders, creating tutorials and the list goes on. You guys are what makes modding and games development worth while :) Otreum (me) - Creator of this Colosseum Model.
