Destructive testing of the 2013 white air tanks form FIRST choice. We were not testing failure mechanisms, nor were we attempting to design a containment solution. The objective was to test a few methods that have been proposed by others, and to show just how much energy is in one of these tanks and how difficult it would be to mitigate a tank failure.

Don't try this at home.

We discourage the use of plastic tanks.

We are not vetting any type of containment or mitigation.
