Mark W. Geraci, M.D., Professor of Medicine, Chief, Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care, Director, Translational Medicine Program, and Co-Director, Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute at the University of Colorado Denver, presented "Lung Cancer Chemoprevention: Future Challenges" at the University of Louisville Department of Medicine Grand Rounds on January 19, 2012.
Dr. Geraci reviewed the state of the science and previous clinical trials of lung cancer chemoprevention, enumerated the role of eicosanoid biology in lung tumorigenesis, and examined the role of murine models of lung cancer as preclinical experimental models in cancer chemoprevention.
