SRI international's M7 Robot performing an inspection of a suspicious bag, including removal and disassembly of its contents. All operations were performed by a remote operator with no a priori knowledge of the contents. The operator is provided a properceptive steroscopic view and a pair of haptic 7 DOF hand controls. Force and vibrations "felt" at the remote site are reproduced at the operators hands.
