An installation for the opening of Cinema 4, the new home of TIFF Cinematheque in 2010.
"8 1/2 Screens" is made of 8 1/2 shots composed onto a single 35mm film frame and projected onto 8 1/2 white sheets. These 8 1/2 shots come from a scene in a screening room near the end of Federico Fellini's film "8 1/2". In this scene, a director, his producers and his wife watch film auditions for the role of his wife, his mistress and a possible muse.
