After twenty years of armed conflict that displaced some two million Ugandans into dilapidated camps, many are now returning home for the first time in decades. But lack of clean water and sanitation infrastructure are major hurdles for communities trying to start over.
Action Against Hunger works with community members to drill new wells and rehabilitate and protect natural springs, bringing safe water to villages across northern Uganda. For thousands of families starting over, clean water means better health and renewed hope.
