A revealing undercover exposé showing casting directors accepting fees to watch actors audition.

Exposing the Casting Director Payola Scheme in Hollywood.

ABC 20/20 investigative reporter Brian Ross takes on the biggest scam to hit Hollywood since the "Casting Couch". For 25 years, this "Payola" scheme has plagued Hollywood's actor community. This episode examines the state of the industry in 2003. The racket continued until February of 2017, when 18 casting directors, including 9 members of the Casting Society of America (CSA) and several workshop operators were charged and prosecuted for violating California labor laws which prohibit accepting a fee for an audition or employment opportunity.
