Fostering our ability to think and act creatively enhances the meaning, purpose and enjoyment of our lives allowing us to interact more directly and passionately with the world. This talk will explore 3 actions that people can take to ignite their personal creativity that are deceptively simple, often counter intuitive, and most definitely run in opposition to our current cultural conditioning.

Creativity colours every aspect of Nancy's life including her relationships, service as a teacher and coach, and her expressions as an artist, author and speaker. For three decades her energies have been focused on visual art, art history and the creative process - exploring its depth and mystery - both in her own life and work, and in helping others to foster their own creativity enjoying lives of greater meaning, purpose and joy.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
