King Brand Support Tape is a Medical Grade tape that is designed to be worn during physical activity, at work, and in between other therapies such as ColdCure or BFST Wrap treatments.
Prior to using the King Brand Support Tape, make sure your skin is clean, dry and oil free. For application to the knee for Full Knee Support prepare 2 small pieces of Support Tape. These should be about 5 inches long or 2 halves of a precut piece. Bend your knee to a 90 degree angle and apply the two tape pieces one on top of the other, just below the knee cap using 80% stretch at the middle and no stretch on the ends. Take one large piece of tape, 10 inches in length, and measure it 1/3 up your thigh on the top right side of your leg. Down to the bottom left side of your knee anchor the tape at this 1/3 point using 25% stretch to stick it to your thigh, angling it towards your knee. once the tape is even with your knee, use 50% stretch and let the tape , follow your knee cap around to the opposite side of your knee. Repeat this technique for the other side of the knee.
For application to the knee for Inner Knee Strains, prepare 2 small pieces of Support Tape. They should be 5 inches in length. Bend your knee to a 90 degree angle and locate the point of pain. Create a cross over the point of pain with the two small pieces of tape. Apply one piece parallel to the thigh and the other piece parallel to the calf. Take a full precut strip 10 inches in length and place the tape just below the center of the cross towards the calf using 25% stretch follow the lines of your knee through the center of the cross along the shape of your knee and up to your thigh. Apply the end of the strip with no stretch, and give it a good rub to ensure it's sticking.
King Brand Support Tape can be worn during ColdCure Wrap Treatment without affecting the treatment. Support Tape can also be worn during the BFST Wrap treatment, however, the effectiveness of the BFST Wrap is slightly reduced by the tape.
