This story was produced in October, 2010 by Stacy Keller, reporter Keri Brown, for NASA Education's EdLine News. The segment features CyGaMEs: An approach to instructional game design and embedded assessment, Selene: A Lunar Construction GaME (Selene players form the Earth's Moon, then pepper it with impact craters and flood it with lava flows), and MoonWorld: A virtual world (MoonWorld players work in teams of 4 to conduct lunar geology field work on the surface of the Moon). The segment features Dr. Debbie Denise Reese, principal investigator of the CyGaMEs project and Dr. Charles (Chuck) A. Wood, Executive Director of the Wheeling Jesuit University Center for Educational Technologies and lunar scientist. CyGaMEs Selene is available for free, 24/7 on the Internet to learners age nine and up.
