This is a one-year honours level add-on programme. It is a practice-led studio and workshop based course that provides a specialist environment for the education of textile designers, Fine artists and craftspersons.

Students engage with the contemporary nature of textiles and this includes traditional skills such as weaving, embroidery and fabric printing, while incorporating other methods such as photography and digital media, through workshops, personal research and peer-based exchange.

The programme strongly encourages innovation, and supports a wide scope of textile design and making.

Students have a strong commitment to this subject area, and enjoy working, developing and resolving individual project ideas. They work in close collaboration with each other and with the guidance of specialist lecturing staff.
