'In Search of the Great Song' is a documentary series exploring the underlying 'song of life' throughout the world, inviting artists, scientists, philosophers, and indigenous elders to express their perspective of the Great Song.

Paul Mealor, a Welsh composer, conductor and educator, is composer of the Ubi Caritas performed during the wedding ceremony of William and Kate (Duke and Duchess of Cambridge). Here, Mealor speaks on the role of song in the life of Wales, with comments by composer Morten Lauridsen and Baritone Jeremy Huw Williams. This video commemorates Mealor's April, 2013 award by the Welsh Music Guild.

Choral compositions by Mealor and Lauridsen are included, performed by the Welsh group Cordydd in St Davids and Llandaff Cathedrals on March 5 and 6, 2013, choir directed by Sioned James and conducted by Paul Mealor.
