Prospects for the economy in 2011 are much brighter. So says Prime Minister Stephenson King who is upbeat the island's chances for economic recovery in the year. Notwithstanding the setback from hurricane Tomas, the Prime Minister says the island managed to achieve what no other country in the Eastern Caribbean had been able to accomplish-positive growth amid the worst global recession in recent memory. He expects the recovery to continue in 2011 driven by what he says will be significant turnaround in the construction sector led by the massive airport project.
