Through the generosity of our donors, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation invests in places that bring people together, fostering shared experiences that make families and entire communities stronger. Inspired by our centennial, the Foundation provided special gifts of $200,000 to partners in each Waukesha, Washington, Ozaukee and Milwaukee counties to reimagine community gathering spaces. Community-led efforts resulted in the renovation of Old Settlers Park in downtown West Bend, a rebuilt Cedar Creek Park band shell in Cedarburg, redesigned playgrounds in Milwaukee and a next generation boardwalk along Lake Fowler in downtown Oconomowoc. Partners include the Oconomowoc Area Foundation, Greater Cedarburg Foundation, West Bend Community Foundation and MKE Plays.
