Planning your own retirement can be a stressful business, and there's nothing more stressful than trying to work out how much money you'll need to sustain a reasonable life.
AMP advice and sales director Blair Vernon joined Paul Henry this morning to discuss how to get started.
"The first thing is commit to making a plan and time to do calculations or find an advisor who can give you advice," he says.
According to Australian research, Mr Vernon says "about $52,000 is needed for a married couple for a comfortable retirement".
