As previously reported, SUFFOCATION are hard at work on their seventh studio album that is slated for a February/March (2013) release via Nuclear Blast Records. Additionally, the band will be inducted into the Long Island Hall Of Fame! This makes them the most extreme band to ever be inducted into such a legendary place.

The Long Island Hall Of Fame ceremony will take place at the Paramount in Long Island, NY on October 18th for what promises to be a star-studded evening that will honor Long Island's rich musical history. Dee Snider will also be in attendance to receive the Harry Chapin Award.

On September 11th, we were at OBITUARY's "Carnival Of Death" tour at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City and we noticed that a few members of SUFFOCATION were present to support their friends bands! Thankfully, we had the brilliant idea of "kidnapping" Derek Boyer (bassist) to chat with him about all things SUFFOCATION.

During this EXCLUSIVE interview Boyer reveals the NEW album title, a few song names, he also explains the concept behind the record and how the band feels about being inducted into the Long Island Hall Of Fame. He also announced a special hometown show in order to celebrate this historic event in the bands career! Buckle up, crank it up to 11, and listen up!
