Kimberly Parker's STEMS class at North Springs Elementary Parker’s have been studying sustainable practices. Working with their teacher and local Construction and Engineering companies, they came up with the idea to design a self-sustaining, energy-conserving classroom. They were recently invited to present their ideas on building design and sustainable classrooms to attendees of the CEFPI conference. CEFPI, or the Council of Educational Facility Planners International is a non-profit association for professionals dedicated to improving schools and educational facilities.
