The modern classic A Kestrel for a Knave by Barry Hines - and subsequent cult film Kes by Ken Loach - now celebrate their half century. To coincide with this, a new version has been created and reimagined for screen.
Barnsley born choreographer, Jonathan Watkins (Winner ‘Best Classical Choreography’ at The National Dance Awards Critic Circle) reimagines the original novel weaving dance, projections, puppetry and music through the performance to create ‘a family-friendly Kes to rival War Horse’.
