Today, Toys"R"Us announced that its fifth annual nationwide in-store and online fundraising campaign benefiting Autism Speaks raised more than $3 million in its stores in the U.S. and Canada, the largest in the company's five-year partnership.

During this year's campaign, the company shined a spotlight on the true heroes of autism: children living with the disorder, their caregivers, and those who are helping to find the cause and cure of autism through the donation of time and money. Toys"R"Us encouraged donations and spread awareness in a number of ways, including engaging the virtual world through the creation of a dedicated online microsite and by creating "Light It Up Blue On Facebook," coinciding with Autism Speaks' Light It Up Blue initiative, in which prominent buildings and landmarks around the world turned their lights blue to commemorate World Autism Awareness Day on Saturday, April 2.
