The Volunteer Rescue Squads of VA Beach were on hand all day on Saturday May 19th to welcome patrons to Lynnhaven Mall and celebrate the beginning of National EMS Week and VA Beach EMS Week.

Rescue squad ambulances, a marine rescue truck, a heavy squad truck and a vintage 1972 Cadillac ambulance were staged at the main and back entrance of the Mall to greet people.

Inside, numerous volunteer EMT's, medics, marine rescue members, bike team member and heaving squad truck team members staffed recruiting tables, showed off a jet ski, rescue boat, rescue bike and the jaws of life.

In addition, members of Rescue Explorer Post 800 were on hand to take blood pressures and members of the cities moulage team provided "free black eyes to the kids and adults.

Over 30 people signed up to know more about joining the volunteer rescue squads of VA Beach.
