just a little girl with a picture of the world propped up against her ever shining mirror she's looking and she's waiting and she's trying to be everything she sees she won't believe that what she is is everything she needs to be and that her love's not material, she's so much more than what the images show
just a little girl with hands holding down the pages of a book she never wants to read forgetting and discarding all the things that say what she's not a demon in a world of angels, lost like a sailboat out to sea she's trying to be strong but the lines have all been blurred and she doesn't know that its wrong
will you tell her that she shines? will you tell her that she's beautiful? will you tell her that she doesn't need to change? tell her that i love her and tell her to keep holding on
just a little girl with streaks of black like letters down her face she's crying once again all alone in the corner, a familiar place to be her little sailboat sinking in the waters of her mind when the tears hit the ground she stretches out her arms and she cries
will you tell me that i shine? will you tell me that i'm beautiful? will you tell me i don't need to be more? tell me that you love me and help me to keep holding on
just a little girl, burning magazines in the fire of defiance the thinner, better bodies and prettier faces gone.... for now and she's crying but her sailboat's pulling up by a stronger sort of help the arms around her tight around her, quiet words that seem to say
will you tell her that she shines? will you tell her than shes beautiful? will you tell her that she never needs to change? tell you that you love her and tell her to keep holding on
