From the first sticks to the final mulch, the site-specific sculpture project in front of East Tennessee State University's Gilbreath Hall made the fall 2013 season of Mary B. Martin School of the Arts especially memorable. More than 100 people from the area and campus labored, perspired and froze with environmental artist Patrick Dougherty for three weeks of bending sticks. 'That Old Time Religion' will nestle under the ETSU tree canopy for about two years. Come see what Dougherty called 'the church in the wildwood' and share the experience.
