FMM Tappits are ideal for making fondant letters, numbers and shapes to decorate cakes and plaques. By 'tapping' the flexible strip on a board or side of a table means that the individual motif is easy to remove. Use Flower paste or Modelling paste for best results as this will ensure that letters and motifs hold their shape and are easy to work with.
Simply cut strips of fondant approximately the width of the letters or numbers, you can use the FMM Multi-Ribbon tool to do this. The fondant strip should be placed vertically and the letter or number cutter will be perpendicular to the fondant. Press down on the cutter and move around your board to achieve a clean cut. You then simply tap out and the letter or number will fall on to your board. Use a cocktail stick to pick out any parts of the letters or numbers that you don’t need.
