Sunday, April 22, 2012 proved that any day welcoming newly admitted Stevens students is a good one. Nearly 2,000 guests -- members of the newly admitted Stevens Class of 2016 and their families -- attended the Annual Accepted Students Reception, a day-long event to give accepted students the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishment and mingle with faculty, staff and current Stevens students.
From as close as New Jersey and the surrounding metro area and as far away as Switzerland, accepted students converged on campus while the Stevens community kept a close eye on an impending Nor'easter.

With ample opportunity to ask questions, get to know the Stevens community, and take another (or first) look at labs and classrooms, residence life, the campus environment, and academic programs, the Accepted Students Reception is always a great event.
This year's reception was another great opportunity for everyone to see that, as one guest put it, Stevens sure can throw a good party.

For some, attending the event was a chance to give Stevens a closer examination before confirming their decision to attend. For others, it was merely a time to celebrate and meet the people who'll soon be their classmates, friends, instructors, mentors, and advisers.
