That is how a man should leave this world - such power, lyricism and beauty in that performance. I don't care if it was lip-synched or in a lower key - Pavarotti had been to the top of that mountain so many times and so brilliantly that it would be a sin to criticize him for any part of this, to me.

This was damn good for a year before his death. Anyone know when his "prime" was? The 1994 recording is probably the best one I've seen, of this particular aria.
