This 18 year old female developed severe airway stenosis from prolonged intubation after a closed head injury from an MVA. I performed multiple efforts at widening her airway using minimally invasive techniques without avail. Finally she underwent a long (7+ rings) segmental tracheal resection. Here she is at post op day 6 doing well a day from going home. Her wound drains are still in but soon to be removed. She is now (at the time of this upload) in college doing very well. Her LSP stitch held for about 2 months and then released. She had NO cervical movement limitations whatsoever from the procedure.
