Now, residents are being urged to cut back on flushing and showering to conserve the city's drinking water. (June 14)[Notes:ANCHOR VOICE] [Notes:VO --CEDAR RAPIDS FLOODING VIDEO]DAYS AFTER THE CEDAR RIVER OVERFLOWED IT'S BANKS -- IT'S FINALLY COMING DOWN -- BUT VERY SLOWLY -- AND YOU'D HARDLY KNOW IT IF YOU VISITED THE DOWNTOWN AREA.PRELIMINARY ESTIMATES PUT THE DAMAGE IN CEDAR RAPIDS ALONE -- AT MORE THAN 700 MILLION DOLLARS AND A LONG RECOVERY LIES AHEAD. [Notes:VO-- FLOODING VIDEO] THE BIG CONCERN RIGHT NOW -- CONSERVING DRINKING WATER -- WHICH COULD RUN OUT IN JUST A FEW DAYS.
