One of the best and heart-felt performance on stage by 10 year old Sinead, singing her original song live at the Charity Concert for Natural Disaster on 8 May 2011 at the Hong Kong Tsuen Wan Town Hall.

An original song written for the Hong Kong Folk CD, with a message to reflect upon the way the world abuses the environment and neglects the future for the sake of economic gains today. The song was inspired by Sinead's poem with the same title for her school work on environment damages. All comments appreciated.

The world's hunger for energy has led to many unprecedented natural and man-made diasters lately. There is nothing more profound than what is happening in Japan now, and recent disasters in China, Australia, New Zealand, USA etc.

Music and Lyrics by Sinead, Sean and Jeremy
Piano arrangement by Sinead (10yo)
Piano and Vocals: Sinead

The weather's acting strange lately
News of floods and fires daily
The scientists say something's wrong and you know you can't deny

Oil spills polluting the sand
Chimneys puffing smoke without end
The world leaders say they'll make it right but you know that it's a lie
It's a lie

Don't you know that everyday I walk beneath black skies
In filthy smoke that sting my eyes
Can't anyone hear the children's cry?
Have you ever stopped to ask yourselves why?
I long to see clear skies
Up where rainbows, clouds and bluebirds fly
I know we can if we try
To save our world before it dies

Everyday you race to be millionaires
Not caring what you pump into the air
To what is going on how could you turn a blind eye?

You kill nature to build your empire
You buy shits to fill your desire
What will you do one day when all that's left runs dry?
Too late to cry

Don't you know you're guilty that I walk beneath black skies
In filthy smoke that sting my eyes
Can't anyone hear the children's cry?
Have you ever stopped to ask yourselves why?
I long to see clear skies
Up where rainbows, clouds and bluebirds fly
I know we can if we try
To save our world before it dies

It's not about your prerogatives
Rather a pain our children to carry
The picture's bigger than you and me
I hope it's not too late for you to see

I live beneath black skies....
I know we can make it right
But will I see the stars tonight?
