+ Song:
"Always," by Erasure

A very 90s song for a very 90s game. ^_^; I even still have my "I Say I Say I Say" cassette tape from back in the day... Sweet, sepia-colored memories.

And the original video for "Always" is pretty awesome. Very "Asian cinema," and only slightly seizure-inducing in the second half. SarAlexRipper90 has uploaded it to YouTube:

Someone needs to make like a "Sailor Moon" AMV to this music.

Jenny Productions' "Love Monster" MMV:

Gorgeous video, gorgeous song... and I don't even like "Love Monster" that much. :X

+ Notes:
My fourth AMV/MMV. Woot! :D

My original intent was to mimic some of the effects in Jenny Productions' "Love Monster" video as a learning experience, but since we're using different software it just turned into a general Windows Movie Maker experiment. I'm especially pleased with the discovery of the "ripple" effect.

"Princess Maker" is a series of simulation games for PlayStation and Windows. "Faery Tales Come True" is the third installment. I had no idea what "Princess Maker" was when I bought the illustration book in Chiba back in 1998. I just thought the pictures were purdy.

Yes... I'm running out of manga to make videos with. Most of my collection is back in California (though I've asked my mom to ship a couple things over).

Despite its fluffy origins, the video ended up with an inspirational "you can do anything" feel. If not inspirational... then at least you can feel like you're back in the 90s... with many sheets of Lisa Frank stationary.

Images edited in Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and compiled in Microsoft Windows Movie Maker (XP version).

Please enjoy!
