A giant 12 foot sculpture of Colin Firth as Jane Austen's Mr Darcy has been launched onto Hyde Park's Serpentine.
The 1995 adaptation of the novel featured Firth wading out of a lake, and has since been voted one of the most memorable British TV drama moments of all time.
Marking the launch of UKTV's new channel Drama, the fibre glass model, which took a team of three sculptors over two months to design, construct and paint, will eventually be installed in Cheshire's Lyme Park, where the scene was originally shot. Report by Sophie Foster.
