Don May, retired executive director of Earth Corps, shares memories of Rimmon C. Fay, Ph.D., the legendary marine biologist who saved the California brown pelican by having it listed as an endangered species. Dr. Fay served on the first California Coastal Commission and provided crucial data that lead to the clean-up of Santa Monica Bay, and consistently crusaded for coastal water quality. Together they successfully litigated for mitigation of the biological impacts of the San Onofre Power Plant.
