Peppa Pig Train Ride, Peppa Pig land train on Bournemouth Promenade. Jump aboard this famous land train, sit back and enjoy the seafront scene as you sweep along the Promenade. You can travel from Bournemouth Pier to Boscombe Pier, via Boscombe Gardens or from Bournemouth Pier to Alum Chine April 9th sees the launch of the land train in Boscombe from the pier, up sea road, left past McDonalds and along to Boscombe Chine Gardens and through the gardens to the pier.

Trains depart daily between Easter and the end of October half term, during February half term and between Boxing Day to the 3rd January. At all other times of the year, only a weekend service operates, there is no Christmas Day service. Land train service is subject to weather conditions. Under 5's and permanent wheelchair users plus one carer travel for free.

For incredible views travel up and down the cliffs in our historic cliff lifts. The West Cliff lift provides an ideal link to the beach from the Bournemouth International Centre and hotels on the cliff top. Originally built in 1908, the East Cliff lift provides a leisurely journey to hotels on the East Overcliff as well as the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum. Don't forget to make a stop at the East Lift house where you can learn about the cliff lifts' history. Further down the coast, Fisherman's Walk cliff lift provides an ideal link to the café's and sunken garden on the cliff top.

Bournemouth's seven long miles of golden sands are bigger and better than ever before, offering something for everyone! At Pier Approach, discover life beneath the waves at the Oceanarium or have a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants. Take a walk along the newly refurbished Pier for fantastic views of the bay, children's rides and boat trips to a number of destinations along the coast. Throughout the year, the Pier Approach area hosts a great selection of market stalls, attractions and events.

If you are travelling on the Land Train towards Poole from Bournemouth Pier, why not hop off at Durley Chine beach. A family favourite, Blue Flag award-winning Durley Chine beach is great for kids. Facilities include canoe hire and refreshment kiosk. It also boasts a traditional pub on the promenade, so you don't have to go far for some good pub grub! There are plenty of beach huts to hire and ice creams to eat. A five minute walk from Durley Chine towards Poole brings you to Alum Chine beach; home to the beautiful Tropical Gardens and has both Green and Blue Flag awards. Alum Chine is a great family friendly area with a pirate-themed children's playground and water play area. Beach huts are available to hire all year round from the local beach office.

Bournemouth Pier Family Amusements for fast, family friendly fun whatever the weather. Open every day except Christmas Day, the Pier Amusements features 'prize every time' soft toy cranes, young children's rides, the latest in multiplayer video games as well as traditional coin pushers in a bright, air-conditioned family friendly centre.
