This is a rare glimpse into how a U.S.-trained cardiac surgeon and a team of clinicians trained in Integrative Medicine blend Western surgical techniques and Tradition Chinese Medicine to treat patients at the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine in Guangzhou, one of the most important Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital in China with over 12,000 out-patient visits each day.
As part of the UCLA Center for East West Medicine's ongoing effort to bridge the understanding of the integration of western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), it has launched Explore IM: Exploring Integrative Medicine, a web-based portal designed to be a world class interactive resource for integrative medicine.
