Tomorrow People Ensemble started as a casual jam session between Azfansadra Karim, Nikita Dompas, Elfa Zulhamsyah, and Lie Indra Perkasa back in 2003. The quartet then decided to put a name on their project, which best describes their attitude and music that "always look ahead without neglecting the past". Successfully delivering organic music with rich improvisation, over the next few years the group performed in a number of events, including the Java Jazz Festival in 2005, 2006, and 2011. TPE's self-titled first album was finished in 2006, but its release had to be postponed as members were continuing their studies abroad. After 6 years of the album was finally released in February 2012, a declaration of their return to the music scene. As Tomorrow People Ensemble Released the album at W_Space, Whiteboard Journal was there to capture their live performance, and the episode of Setlist you are watching shows the group performing 3 songs of their self-titled album.
