Raw video of record-breaking, 22-storey/2.80 metre-high LEGO train spiral tower.
First test. (Click "Show More" for details!)

This is my first project.
It took quite some while for it to happen from when the idea emerged a few months ago to full tower completion one week ago (well, minus one and a half hours, or so...).

In all fairness, it was built to be the tallest LEGO train spiral tower ever made. (And so it is. :) )

Exhibited in window of Cucubau Toy Store (Baia Mare, Bd. București 2A, http://tinyurl.com/ybwezx2q; online at http://www.jucariicucubau.ro/).

Possible only thanks to Felix (http://mezeifelix.weebly.com/works.html) and Roli (http://www.jucariicucubau.ro/).

Loads of encouragement from BANANENBUURMAN (https://www.youtube.com/user/bananenb...).

Dedicated to M & O.

Parts: roughly 9.285 LEGO bricks - and a few hundred more in the inner chains (which will soon be replaced with a better fastening system).
Of those, 210 straight and 344 curved tracks.

Source of parts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUO5d....

The engine and car are from the 7938 LEGO Passenger Train set (2010).

Camera: Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.

Suggestions as to how to further improve the structure for increased strength and stability while still keeping it as simple as possible are highly encouraged and eagerly expected.

Sharing impressions, concerns, or advice (other than mentioned above) and asking questions shall be greatly appreciated!

27 November 2017: Felix Mezei added the Ninjago-themed city to the window where the spiral tower is an honorary guest: https://imgur.com/gallery/LahN84B.
