This is from an old documentary called Powers of 10 (for those of you who might recognize it from High School Physics class), and I've sped up the footage, dubbed music over the narrator, and added a few scriptures from the Book of Moses at the end. Regardless of what you personally believe or accept as scripture, the message of this video is the same. We are but an incomprehensibly small dot in an infinitely large cosmos that bears the fingerprint of our Maker, the Supreme Creator, God, our Heavenly Father, or whatever name you may choose to call Him. And in the immensity and beauty of everything we see here, I know that there was order, there was organization, there was a plan and a purpose to all of creation. And what this video clip shows me personally, is that, despite our nothingness in the grand scheme, just a mere glimpse into biology, psychology, and any other science that attempts to understand our true composition confirms to me that great care was taken by a masterful artist to create the most complex and beautiful of all His creations: you and me. And this same artist knows very personally each and every one of His works, especially you and me. As the Savior said, the very hairs of our heads are numbered to our Father. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the earth without His notice, what value and what love does this master artisan bear for you and me?

Every time I watch this, my heart is touched because it so directly reflects my personal testimony of our Heavenly Father's plan for us. His creations are so vast and incomprehensible that all I can do is stand in amazement and exclaim How Great Thou Art! And yet, despite his countless creations and our relative nothingness, I know that we are everything to Him. For God so loved the world that he sent His Only Begotten son that we might reach our full potential, so we might become even as He is. Of all God's creations, we--you and I--are His greatest, and He will give us every opportunity to achieve eternal life.

As a father myself, I can't help but reflect on what I wouldn't do for my children, what I wouldn't give to see them protected and able to realize their greatest dreams. And if I then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto my children, how much more shall our Father which is in Heaven give good things to them that ask Him? How blessed we are to have a loving Heavenly Father who cares so much about us and will give us eternal life, the greatest of all gifts, as we embrace His son and obey His few, simple commandments.
