Lol try infantry OSUT Fort Benning instead... When I went we were greeted by screaming drill sergeants, flash bangs, and smoke grenades. Nobody knew what the fuck was going on or what we got ourselves into.

Every time I hear "yes drill sergeant" I think of Forrest Gump.

Army Infantry OSUT isn't like that. At least it wasn't when I went through it. On top of that my first day at my unit I got smoked from 5:45am to midnight. More specifically, Log PT till 1700. Then I got of work, thought I was safe. Hell no...my SGT followed me back to my room and smoked my ass an additional 7 hrs. Good times...=D I did fuck up pretty bad though. Needless to say...I never screwed up again. Then I came back from Iraq and found out we could no longer smoke our new privates like that anymore. IG and SMA didn't like the idea of hazing too much. Hazing? I thought that shit was called discipline...

I'm glad I joined the Air Force. I have much respect for the Army, Marines and Navy hell even though the Coast Guard is run by the Secret Service I have the same respect. Every part of our defenders under go a different type of boot camp. The Marines are the pointy tip of the spear, the Army also has a rapid response unit. The Air Force is a little different. We can fly out of the United States with a bunch of bomber and be on target aid the ground forces and fly back to our homes. The navy can project power even closer and they along with the Marines go into harms way first. The Coast Guard have some of the finest minds of all. I won't go into some of their missions, that go beyond rescue and protecting our water ways let's just say they are very good at their job.

Good times. His 1st mistake was wearing a Marine shirt to boot camp.
