Prescription drugs are now killing more young people than auto accidents and all other reasons combined. Oh, how the Devil is a beautiful liar! The Devil always shows you the neon lights and the good times, but he'll never show you the rehab centers, morgues and prisons. Drug addiction can happen to anyone! Most people don't realize that they're ADDICTED until it happens. Combining medications is the number one killer!!!

James 5:15, "and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him." Jesus died on the cross, was buried and raised up from the dead three days later for our justification. This is the Gospel (good news) of the Lord Jesus Christ. If you by faith receive Christ's sacrifice as payment for your sins, then your sins are forgiven and you are saved eternally. Any sin can be forgiven by the blood of Jesus, including drug addiction.
The best 12 step program are the 12 steps to the alter. It's ok to be addicted, if you're addicted to the right things. 1st Corinthians 16:15, "they have addicted themselves to the ministry." It's not where you've been that matters, but where you're going. You will not become what you decide to be, but what you decide to be around. Your friends will make you or break you!
And by the way, alcohol by definition is a narcotic drug. Alcohol is dangerous because most people don't recognize it as a threat, like prescription drugs. 1st Corinthians 3:16-17 teaches that the believer's body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. We ought to respect our bodies by taking care of God's temple to glorify God with our life. You are loved my friend.
