I have been making references to this for years and NO ONE knows what i'm talking about. This is from the Warner Brothers movie Daffy Duck's Fantastic Island.

I always wondered what Sylvester was singing about here, at first I thought it was the city of Charleston.  Not until I saw part of this song performed on an episode of "Maude" did I remember this song, looked it up and found out it was a popular song - and dance - from the '20s.  I will forever associate it with this scene.

Those dogs always piss me off how they fuck up Sylvester having an AWESOME day...having fun singing and doing "the Charleston"....poor guy haha!! I'm always stoked how later in the cartoon...the black panther gets back at those dogs(though I had wished that he would have beat BOTH of the dogs up hahaha!)....

Me too! I love that I'm not the only one!! I've been singing this for three days. My husband just said what in the hell are you singing. Thanks for having it on here for me to show him. It jogged his memory too. Double thanks!
