By request! PIZZA, freeze dried in a Harvest Right Home Freeze Dryer.
We tried 3 different pizzas in the freeze dryer. All three were thin crust. One was a massive hit! One had gluten free crust and that one turned out hard as a rock. We tried to steam it to soften it up and the texture just didn't cut it. The third one was the same brand and crust style as the one we all liked but had chicken on it. Although it was good, we also tried to steam it which again didn't work out.
We also Freeze Dried Babybel Mini Gouda cheese. The cheese was fun in Freeze Dried cookie like form. We also tried to rehydrate it in room temperature water and gave up after 2 hours. And we tried to steam it for 1/2 hour without success.
All in all we were thrilled with the results. I think we just created the next snack craze. Freeze Dried Pizza Chips!
