1000w 48V Front Hub Motor Electric Bicycle. I just put this thing together, and it is by no means finished! I still need to hide the wires better, and mount the controller in a better way. I plan to get a higher quality rear wheel to take the weight of the batteries. The batteries are SLA and they are about 50 LBS. They are incredibly heavy, and i need to get lighter batteries, but i can't afford them right away. These cost US$180 for all four and the pack is capable of putting out 54 continuous amps. The bike only needs about 36 max to operate. It is capable of speeds of about 28 MPH but i normally ride it about 20 MPH because its a no suspension bike. Its nice to have that extra power in case i find flat road. The range is estimated around 20 miles, but i have yet to actually run out of power yet so i don't know for sure. It takes about 3-6 hours to charge.
