There's no country music like this anymore. Great song by a very special singer.

I remember my mother coming home from working a mill job about forty years ago, she would cook my bro and myself supper, then she would put in a old eight track tape of Conway, put on the old stereo headphones and fall asleep on the couch, she did good, my father passed away at age 33 from heart related conditions, mom had to step up and be a single parent home. God bless her, she has gone on to be with dad.

Sing it Conway. WHY have they MURDERED our True Country Music? Alan Jackson & George Strait sang it best ! Not saying there isn't good singers in Country Music, It's the way they sing the song's and the Song's just really are "NOT TRUE COUNTRY MUSIC". Has gotten to the point to where it sounds more like Rock than Country. And I've lived through over 50 decades of True Country Music. Wish more Country stations would just play the older Country Music. I remember the first time I heard Conway sing "It's Only Make Believe"... Summer of 1959, and I had just graduated Hi School. Glad to have lived through the Best. RIP To all those we have lost and loved their beautiful voices and songs.

Wherever you are, Betty P., I still feel the same.  I've carried the same torch for 52 years and it just won't go away.  Thanks Conway for putting that idea in a song!!
