All too often, leaders formulate strategies with the best intentions, creating fancy presentations, sending emails and having many meetings to explain it all. Much hype is generated and there is hope about where the company is headed. But hope is not a strategy. Unfortunately, most strategies are never realized, leaving leaders frustrated when business performance does not meet expectations. The sad part is that these leaders will repeat the same mistakes next year during annual planning, and again, achieve similar lackluster results.
So why does strategy delivery have to be so hard? Forming and executing strategy is often problematic, but it does not have to be that way.
Gaylord Wahl and Mistilyn Gebow explain how to create and deliver strategy in practical ways, based on years of work in the trenches helping companies achieve their business objectives.
