AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!
T'day's a day worth of celebration! First of all, it's time for my christmas holiday, meaning I finally have time to cover all the lost weeks of watching anime and, more importantly, I received note that I did NOT fail my exam in maths. That's my FIRST POSITIVE MATHS EXAM IN FIVE F**KING YEARS!
Deary me, that feels GREAT!
And what would be a better celebration in regards to music as one HELL of a bombastic instrumental arrange of my favourite character's theme and arguably the best theme ZUN-sama ever made?
Y'know, This arrange is the second very long metal arrange of Yuyuko-sama's theme, the other being "その魂に安らぎを ～ Dignity of Spirit", sitting at nine and a half minutes. That one had a slow start, but hit the, in my eyes, godlike button at 1:42, when Fuyuki's voice came in. This one here is purely instrumental(well, obviously since it's partial orchestral and done by SHO), but nonetheless almost as effin awesome. It sits at nine minutes and sixteen seconds. The first 45 seconds are a magnificient orchestra, then the metal drops in. Not that heavy at first, but it gradually builds up. So-to-speak, at 2:15 it reaches it's max-speed and from then on, it's pure, distilled BADASSERY. What I really do like about it is the same thing I really love about SHO's other arranges - under all the mashing, the riffs, the drums, plays a wonderful orchestra and you can really hear the base-tune. So, back to the timeline. The mashing goes on until 4:05 where the tempo drops radically before picking up again at 4:30. The pic in my head says, this is the part where Yuyuko-sama realizes the PCB heroines ain't screwing around and she releases all her deadly glory (Penultimate spellcard anyone?). Then at 5:20, she seems defeated but comes back for her time-out. This is also the part where Border of Life, the one without the cherry blossom in it's name kicks in. then at 6:00 Yuyuko-sama goes for the final, very intense rush. And then, at 8:24, she's defeated and the song fades out. I get them goosebumps every goddamn time.
Needless to say, this is another utter masterpiece. I can't and won't say more, albeit I'd like to excuse myself for the huge textwall, I just got carried away :P
