TravelWise

TravelWise, the new free smartphone app provided by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, includes travel advice and consular information on 200 countries. This information encompasses security, local laws, entry requirements, health and emergency contacts. The app will send security alerts straight to your phone in the event of a crisis, and has offline capability ensuring that citizens have access to key contact information without depending on a data connection. The App provides a facility to register with the local Irish Embassy or Consulate, a ‘My Trip’ checklist, and many other handy tools designed to keep you informed and make your travel easier.
