According to the information from the Museum of Transportation, this locomotive was built in 1944 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works at a cost of over a quarter of a million dollars. It is one of the largest non-articulated locomotives ever built, with a weight of over 470 tons. It was built for fast freight service and has 74" driving wheels. I hope you find this as interesting as I did. Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it!
