I'm very new to shooting, this Ruger is my first pistol. I've got 200 rounds through it without one problem. Shoots so accurate out of the box. I'm posting this to show what an amateur can do with a great pistol at 10 yards. I did research for a month and this is the best option for me. I love the option of having a full size option with the 17 rounds and a compact option w 10. The pinky extension was more than enough to get a full grip on so I shaved it down to fit my hand perfectly, this also took the point off the bottom so it doesn't print at all. I've carried with a N82 professional holster and even though at first it seems heavy, I soon got used to it and don't even notice it anymore. I love the loaded chamber indicator, maybe it sticks up a little too much but on the range it's obvious to others that you are chambered. It would also come in handy if I were ever in a dark room or at night I could just run my finger over the top of the pistol and I would know if it were ready to shoot. For me, I like the slide safety. Just another option that I think works for me. Also, the trigger has a little lever that prevents you from accidentally discharging the weapon. (not sure what the technical term is but I call it a trigger safety). Take down is a breeze. And this is by far the best looking pistol I've ever seen. If you are thinking about getting your first pistol or adding one to your arsenal, this is an awesome pistol to consider. Thanks
