Jenny Larson has been working with Salvage Vanguard Theater (SVT) since 2001. She has served as the artistic director since 2008. Her directing credits with SVT include the world premiere of Caridad Svich's THRUSH, VOICES UNDERWATER by Abi Basch, world premiere of Jason Grote's HAMILTON TOWNSHIP and world premiere of C Denby Swanson's BIRTH OF RABBITS. Jenny launched SVT's script development program Works Progress Austin (WPA) in 2006, fostering the voices of new American playwrights. In addition to her work with SVT, Jenny has worked with Rude Mechs, Rubber Rep, Zach Scott, Southwestern University, and Pro-Arts Collective, to name a few. Jenny is currently in collaborations with New Dramatist, Rude Mechs, Physical Plant, and playwright Sibyl Kempson to devise a new work that will premiere in 2013. In fall of 2011 Jenny will be performing in Rude Mechs western musical I'VE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY at the Kirk Douglas Theater for CTG. Jenny will also be premiering GUEST by Courtesy at SVT in the fall of 2011, a piece created collaboratively with Rude Mech company member Hannah Kenah.
